Morelos U14 Basketball: 2026 Olympics Prep Camp

After the state 5×5 basketball selection, held in the Revolución sports unit and which defined the preselection in the men’s and women’s branches, a preparation camp was held prior to the regional phase towards the 2026 National Olympics, reported the Institute of Sports and Physical Culture of the State of Morelos (Indem), headed by Juan Felipe Domínguez Robles.

In this context, it was detailed that the state champion teams were in the camp, as well as other prospects from different squads, in a concentration that took place over two days, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and was taught by the sports methodology area of Indem.

During the activities, the basketball players performed physical evaluations of speed, endurance and strength, in addition to nutritional and physical therapy assessments. Subsequently, they participated in a theoretical workshop where they received guidance on the importance of warming up and eating, as well as information on the work program that they will continue towards the regional and final phase.

Likewise, it was detailed that the camp served to put into practice the work dynamic that will be maintained going forward, with training on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 4:00 p.m., which will combine sessions in the gym, track and field.

Finally, Domínguez Robles highlighted the holding of this concentration as it is a new category, and that in the future the results will be able to be viewed, and that, in addition, they will continue with the support of the state governor Margarita González Saravia.
