Matt Ryan: Atlanta Falcons President – News & Analysis

Matt Ryan, historic quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons, has been officially appointed president of the same team.

The Atlanta team lives on a fairly mixed situation for a few years. The last time we saw it in the playoffs was in 2018, when it reached the Divisional Round against the Philadelphia Eagles, but was unable to continue. The management does everything to push it back to the edge of success, but starting this offseason the same team will be led by a player very dear to it.

A reset is underway from the upper floors, as also reported by the owner Arthur Blank. After taking Greg Beadles as president and CEO of the teamBlank announced the creation of a new role, the president of footballfor which Matt Ryan was selected, historic quarterback of the team from 2008 to 2021.

Matt Ryan’s new assignment

Matt Ryan will be the new president of football for the Atlanta Falcons, a role that will work closely with the head coach and general manager to build and develop the team’s identity.

“Arthur gave me a great opportunity almost 20 years ago, and he did it again today” Ryan said in the release. “I appreciate my time with the Indianapolis Colts and CBS, but I would like to point out that I have never stopped being a Falcons player. It’s nice to be back home, I’m very grateful for that. I will give everything I have to bring the team success again, as I did years ago as their quarterback.”

Matt officially accepted the job this morning, and will immediately get to work looking for the new head coach and general manager of the Atlanta team. With the layoffs that occurred in many teams in the league last Monday, the coaching market enjoys high-caliber names, such as John Harbaugh, who coached the Ravens for 18 seasons.
