Marino Hinestroza to Vasco: Debut Date & Plan

Expectation is growing in Rio de Janeiro for the imminent officialization of Marino Hinestroza as a new Vasco da Gama player. The attacker is already in Brazil and although the club reported that it reached an agreement with Atlético Nacional for his transfer, some bureaucratic procedures are still pending to be announced as a signing.

Marino underwent the corresponding medical tests this weekend, but he still hasn’t signed his contract. At Vasco they hope to complete the paperwork so that the Colombian can be registered and join training ahead of the start of the Brasileirao.

The coach, Fernando Diniz, does not rule out having Hinestroza -and Brenner- for the duel this Thursday, January 29 against Mirassol, for date 1 of the Brazilian first division championship. However, the DT recognized that they must first complete the procedures to later evaluate their physical condition and define their availability.

“It is a possibility, but I do not know their current situation. They (Brenner and Hinestroza) have not received training. They have to sign the contracts, and neither of them have done it. “They are bureaucratic procedures,” Diniz said in dialogue with the media.

“Brenner’s medical tests are fine. Hinestroza had his done today. Maybe we can have them, but maybe not. We will evaluate it. First the bureaucratic part and then his general condition,” added Vasco’s coach.
