Marbella Hockey: Stage 3 Victory | League Update

On January 25, the third stage of the 3×3 Ventspils Open Hockey League was held in Ventspils, where the teams continued to fight for places in the overall standings and the chance to become tournament winners.

In the competition of the third stage, the first place was won by the team “Marbella”, gaining 6 points. The second place winners “Navy” also got the same number of points. Teams “Ventspils Hockey Union” and HK “Ventspils tmaci” won shared third and fourth place with 3 points. In this stage, the team HK “Ventspils veški” took the fifth place.

The Most Valuable Players (MVP) of each team were also highlighted. The MVP of “Marbella” was Vyacheslavs Movko, “Ventspils Hockey Union” – Uvis Grosmanis, “Navy” – Kristaps Bužats, HK “Ventspils dark” – Rihards Siliņš, while HK “Ventspils light” – David Moga.

After the three stages, the team “Marbella” is in the leading position in the overall standings of the tournament with 14 points. In second, third and fourth place with 12 points are currently “Ventspils Hockey Union”, HK “Ventspils dark” and “Jūras spēki”. The participants of the first stage “Tērvetes Backshots” are in the fifth place with 6 points, while HK “Ventspils väškai” is in the sixth place with 5 points.

Uvis Grosmanis became the top scorer of the tournament after three rounds, scoring 23 goals in 11 played games.

Information about the 4th stage will follow. It will be the final stage of the 3×3 Ventspils Open Hockey League, where the winners of the tournament and the hosts of the traveling cup will be determined.
