Madrid Badminton Referee Course | Training 2024

The training area of ​​the Madrid Badminton Federation will organize a course to train new level 1 court referees, which will take place in the town of Hoyo de Manzanares on February 14 and 15.

The place chosen to provide said training will be at the local municipal sports center.

The course schedule will be as follows, Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 14 hours of training, distributed over two days, where the practice period will take place in the official and co-official tournaments held by the Madrid Badminton Federation until reaching a total of 24 official refereed matches.

Registration must be done through the virtual classroom on the website of the Spanish Badminton Federation, before February 12, 2026. Only students who are 16 years old or older will be eligible for this training.

The maximum number of places will be 26 students and the minimum number of registrations to be able to call the course will be 10.

The course will be taught by Marina Ríus de Rojas and Breixo Casal Romero, two of the international referees of the Madrid Badminton Federation.

The price of the course will be €185, which includes the teaching and refereeing material, the title of “Court Referee Level 1”, with its corresponding national approval by the Spanish Badminton Federation and the official equipment of the National Committee of Referees.

We want to highlight that these courses are intended to provide the necessary training to direct and enforce the rules of the game for the matches, direct the Court Assistants in charge of each match, prepare the minutes and reports of the refereed matches, be able to maintain an attentive and perceptive behavior to carry out an objective refereeing, adopt a fair and prudent attitude in their relationship with the players of the match and know the environment of professional development of refereeing in badminton.
