Reduced by the injuries of Hamza Igamane and Osame Sahraoui, LOSC is exploring several avenues to strengthen its offensive sector before the end of the winter transfer window.
Faithful to his line of conduct, Olivier Létang does not wish to recruit at all costs, but seeks profiles capable of bringing real added value. With this in mind, one name has come up repeatedly in recent days: Mathys Tel, lacking playing time for Tottenham.
According to information from RMC Sportthe young 20-year-old French striker, trained in Rennes, would be in the good books of the northern club. Used 16 times in the Premier League this season, Tel has just been removed from Spurs’ list for the Champions League, which could facilitate a loan. The player would be seduced by the prospect of more playing time in Lille, in a sporting project deemed attractive to continue his progress.
Still some doubts
However, certain internal uncertainties remain to be resolved. Bruno Genesio recently explained that he does not want any departures this winter, while the club continues to prospect to find the ideal reinforcement in order to compete with Olivier Giroud, who has been in difficulty for several weeks. The Mathys Tel file therefore appears to be a credible opportunity, but will depend on discussions with Tottenham and LOSC’s desire to take concrete action before February 2.
