Limoux Archery: Departmental Championship Success | 5 Podiums

This Sunday, January 25, 70 archers came from all over Aude to attend this competition organized by the Limoux club.

Castelnaudary, Bizanet, Carcassonne, Montferrand and Narbonne: all the archery clubs in Aude responded to the invitation of that of Limoux, which organized the departmental championship this Sunday, January 25. In total, 70 archers took part.

The day started with qualifying. In each age category and weapon, archers shot 60 arrows at 18m at 40cm faces for a maximum of 600 points. There are 3 weapons: bare bows, recurve bows and compound bows.

In the afternoon, the qualified archers met in a duel to reach a final in each category resulting in the three best scores to reach the podium.

The Limoux club was not unworthy: of the eight competitors, five finished on the podium.

In U18 men’s recurve bow, Clement Vannobel comes 3rd. In senior 2 women’s recurve bow, Melanie Leray get the money and Sabine Tabaczka bronze. In U18 men’s bare bow, Liam Nys finished 3rd. As an adult woman with a bare bow, Cécile Crompton arrive en 3e position.
