In masculine, Limón was proclaimed three-time national champion after beating Esparza 68-44 in the final. Esparza got the silver medal in his first men’s basketball final at the National Gameswhile the bronze was in the hands of Cartago, which beat Escazú 62-58 in the third place match.
In the female branch, Liberia celebrated the first championship in its history in the National Games, after beating Palmares 51-48 in a close final. The Liberians went into halftime with a 29-22 lead and knew how to manage the result in the second half to seal the victory.

Palmares, who played his fifth final in this discipline, added his fourth silver medal and failed to add a new gold to the one obtained in San José 1985. The women’s bronze went to Lemonwhich defeated San Carlos 47-40 in the third-place game.
