On social networks, dozens of negative comments emerged after the announcement of the signing of the contract. “Supporting trading is not great, but supporting an Israeli company is shameful and immoral. I hope the supporters can put pressure on it,” reacts a user. Reactions which seem linked to the war in the Middle East.

Other fans also demanded accountability from Medhi Benatia, OM football director. Same story with the followers of Olympique Lyonnais, some of whom rebelled against the signing of this agreement.

40 million users in 75 countries

Founded in 2007 in Tel Aviv, the eToro brand, which also joined forces with the Formula 1 team Alpine this Thursday, boasts of having “40 million users in 75 different countries”. After having already appeared as the main sponsor of the Monaco jersey between 2021 and 2023, this time it will benefit from a privileged display on the LED panels during the Ligue 1 matches of the four clubs. Its logo has also appeared on the sleeve of the Lille players’ tunics for several months.
