In that process Laren has been key with his goals, with his talent and with his game. As preparation, the girls have 260 training sessions and 70 official and friendly matches that allowed them to consolidate the team.
Henry Contreras Valencia, coordinator of Cundinamarca for the Festival of Festivals and who has attended the event for 21 consecutive years, confirmed that this municipality brought the largest delegation of the tournament to Medellín: 1,082 athletes competing in 27 disciplines.
“The main motivation is for the children to enjoy these ‘Olympics’ created for them. The event has the conditions so that what they experience here becomes a great memory for life, both for the organization and for the level of competition that they dream of achieving for years,” explained Contreras.
Likewise, he maintained that, although it is not known if all of them will be professionals, they have the support of the Chía Mayor’s Office to live a unique experience. “No matter what they do, they will always remember what they experienced on and off the field; we also take them to get to know the city, ride the Metro and see the development of this welcoming capital.”
Finally, Contreras stressed that Mayor Leonardo Donoso’s vision insists that the most important thing is to form better citizens.
This purpose motivated the more than six thousand participants who were part of the qualifying phase in the 27 sports in which they compete today in Medellín.
