Under the orders of Javier Farina, the new coach of the Lobas, the first women’s volleyball team kicked off the 2026 season. Gimnasia returned to training at the Víctor Nethol Sports Center and is preparing for what will be a new edition of the Argentine Women’s League.
After an extensive 2025, with the achievements of the LAF 2025 and the Metropolitan Cup at the regional level and third place in the Tournament, the Lobas will seek to be protagonists again and continue making history in national volleyball.
While waiting for the arrival of reinforcements and the confirmation of preparatory friendlies, the team began practices on the playing field and with tasks in the gym in charge of the physical trainer, Alan Jakimczuk. The coach will be accompanied by Gonzalo Campaña, who had already been working at the Club with inferiors and in pursuit of continuing the Albiazul volleyball sports project..
The defense of the title will begin on Friday, January 16, when the Lobas receive Villa Dora at the Víctor Nethol on what will be the first date of the League. The next day, they will also be home against San Isidro. The complete fixture, here.
