54 archers took part in this first meeting of the weekend. Second after the morning qualifications, Kervignac beat Asal Lorient at the end of a hotly contested final. After two ends, the two quartets were indeed tied. It was the third which allowed Kervignac, winner by a small point, to gain the upper hand and finally win (6-2). Enough to satisfy Patrice Penven.
“Two archers who can shoot 10 regularly”
Crowned French champion in the men’s S3 category a year ago under the Lorient colors, the archer played a nasty trick on his former club by performing well at the decisive moment. “With Aurélien (Lebreton) and Jean-Pierre (Hourlier), they have a fairly homogeneous team. Two archers who can shoot 10 regularly,” explains Aymeric Sicard, president of the departmental committee. He was satisfied with the number of participants over the entire weekend, which continues on Sunday with the ladies (classic), compound and barebow.
