Arnaud Kalimuendo will not discover the second club in the capital. Or at least not this season. This Wednesday evening, Eintracht Frankfurt formalized the arrival on loan of the 23-year-old striker. Arriving this summer at Nottingham Forest from Stade Rennais, the French Espoirs international did not convince during the first part of the season.
Little used by the Reds, the center forward trained at Paris Saint-Germain has not scored in his nine appearances in the Premier League. This unfavorable statistic did not prevent Paris FC from inquiring about the profile of the former Rennais. The latter was on the list of the fifteenth in Ligue 1 which is seeking to strengthen itself in all sectors of the game during this winter transfer window.
He replaces Wahi
In the Bundesliga, Kalimuendo will digitally replace Elye Wahi, who left for OGC Nice this winter. “He’s quick, makes deep calls and is a clinical finisher. He also works very hard without the ball. It was important for us that he matched not only our style of play, but also our philosophy,” presented Eintracht sporting director Markus Krösche.
The loan of the native of Suresnes stretches over the next six months, but the Frankfurt club has communicated that it has an option to transform this movement into a permanent transfer. He could imitate another former Parisian who returned to the Eagles: Hugo Ekitike.
