This is the first victory of the season for the native of Albertville, who was full of confidence two weeks before competing in the Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina.
Lou Jeanmonnot finished at the foot of the podium but made sure to retain first place in the general ranking of the Biathlon World Cup thanks to a sufficient lead over Suvi Minkkinen, the only candidate for the big globe present in Nove Mesto. The four pursuers decided in the last meters on skis after scoring an impressive 19/20 in shooting.
If she did not win this Sunday like Éric Perrot, winner of the men’s mass start earlier in the day, Jeanmonnot will thus approach the Olympics with the same yellow bib as the French biathlete.
