John van den Brom is not happy with Guido Albers’ statements. The agent indicated on Sunday morning that he does not think that Van den Brom is also the head coach of FC Twente under Erik ten Hag.
“I just heard it, I don’t understand why Guido said this,” says Van den Brom after the Twente derby, quoted by Football International. “I will call him right away. We will wait until Erik starts, then there will really come a time when he will sit down with me and we will share the ideas, plans and possibilities with each other.”
“You can only start saying things once we have sat together,” he continues. “Then you can think something about it. But what should I think about something that has not yet happened? I think that is a bit premature of Guido. But anyway, it is his own responsibility if he starts saying things.”
“I’m going to call him, because I’m not happy with this at all. It’s not yet February 1, then I’ll really sit down with Erik. We’ll see what the conclusion is then. I’m having a great time at the club, we’re playing great football. All we have to do is keep winning games. We’re doing well with that,” said Van den Brom.
