The battle between the teams from the opposite poles of the table was clear for the favourites, the Jihlava hockey players beat Frýdek-Místek 4:1 in the preliminary game of the 45th round of the Max League and secured second place in the table.

Dukla decided already in the first period, in which they scored two goals, and in the next two parts they helped themselves with two power plays. Tomáš Harkabus (2+1) scored three points, Maxim Burkov and Tomáš Čachotský scored 1+1.

Adam Beran caught 22 shots. He lost his clean sheet only in the last minute, when Alexander Younan, a fresh acquisition from Poruba, beat him. Frýdek-Místek did not use the opportunity to move away from the last Poruba, remaining thirteenth with a two-point advantage over his rival.
