The Danes barely beat the Icelanders (31-28) in the semi-final of the Euro handball. They therefore join Germany in the final.
Germany will face Denmark in the Euro handball final on Sunday, the hard-fought winner of the Icelanders (31-28) in the second semi-final on Friday in front of their home crowd.
The poster will remind the Germans of a bitter memory: the final of the Paris 2024 Games, at the end of which they lost heavily to the Danes (39-26).

Despite the support of their public in Herning, the Danish Olympic and world champions struggled for a large part of their semi-final before widening the gap in the final minutes against the unleashed Icelanders.
The latter, led by their top scorer Orri Thorkelsson, hit the ground running and were up to three goals ahead in the first period, marked by choppy play and numerous fouls.
Denmark, which led by one length at half-time (14-13), gradually accelerated in the second half, taking three then four lengths ahead in the last ten minutes, with a successful Mathias Gidsel (7 goals for 7 shots, top Danish scorer).
The Danes, who like Germany had beaten France in the main round of this Euro, had finished first in their group and were logically favorites for the competition.

The Germans will play their first Euro final on Sunday since their continental coronation in 2016.
At the end of a tight first period which saw the two teams edge to edge (17-15 at half-time), the Nationalmannschaft took off at the start of the second period.
The Germans were up to seven goals ahead (24-17 in the 39th minute), led in particular by Lukas Zerbe (6 goals), top scorer.
The Croats, coming back to two goals less than a minute from the final whistle, tried to hang on until the end but they came up against an intractable German defense and its goalkeeper Andreas Wolff, author of 13 saves (32%).
