Il San Marino Baseball officially opens the market in view of the 2026 season by announcing the first new arrival. “The first new arrival of 2026 is Jhorjan Guevara, coming from Modena and fresh from his commitment with the blue shirt of Italy”we read in the company press release.
Guevara is “a center winger born in 2002, native of Anzoategui, Venezuela, with an Italian passport” and is described as an athlete who “he has grown a lot and has shown excellent things in his seasons in the top flight”. The numbers of the last seasons are recalled in detail: “In Modena, in 2024, he batted with an average of 365, while last season he even went up to 476 (49/103), with 5 home runs and 29 runs batted in”. The performance with the national team is also highlighted: “In the last European Championship with Italy he batted 458 (11/24) with 2 home runs and 6 home runs in 7 games”.
The words of the player also find space in the press release, as he explains how the choice to arrive in San Marino came about. When asked how the agreement came about, Guevara explains: “I believe God made sure the deal came at the time I and the organization needed it.
