Jerry Jones: NFL’s Winningest Owner Quest

Jerry Jonesowner of the Dallas Cowboysasserted that his 83 years will not prevent him from adding the four championships he needs to retire as the owner with the most Super Bowls won in the history of the NFL.

“My goal in life is to retire as the owner who has won the most Super Bowls and nothing will stop me. I have three, the owner of the New England Patriots, how many does he have? Six? So I have a lot of work to do, but at least I have reached second place,” Jones said at his team’s end-of-season press conference.

The manager stressed his goal despite the fact that this year his Cowboys completed three decades without reaching a Super Bowl.

Dallas, along with the San Francisco 49ers, share the second place in terms of most Super Bowls won in history with five each.

Of those five Lombardi trophies, Jerry Jones, who acquired the lone star team in 1989, won three titles.

The climb to equal the six that Robert Kraft has as owner of the New England Patriots looks complicated and surpass it even more.

“I’m not going to say when I plan to retire. I don’t want to challenge the gods about that, but that’s the mentality, that’s my goal,” he said.

The first step to building a winning dynasty, like the one that won the three titles in the 90s, is for Dallas to return to the playoffs in the 2026 season, something it did not achieve this campaign.

“We want to go out and do better than this year. Is there an incentive to blow the budget to try to do something? Yes, definitely. We will do drastic things. Money is not a problem. We will do it in the most spectacular way possible,” he concluded.
