Meet the Bandeirante
Founded in 1923, Bandeirante Esporte Clube is a traditional club, but it has always fluctuated between divisions of football in São Paulo. In 1986, the team was champion of the second division and achieved unprecedented access to the special division. But Leão da Noroeste spent only one year in the elite of state football. Birigui’s team debuts in the Paulista Series A3 at home, against Portuguesa Santista, on January 24th, Saturday, at 7pm. The team plays in Pedro Marin Berbel Stadium.
