author’s music opens 2026 in Verucchio with an unmissable event for lovers of Italian song: on Sunday 11 January, at 9.15 pm, the Pazzini Theater will host the concert of DAMADORE’, tribute show to the legendary tour of Fabrizio De André and Premiata Forneria Marconi.
Seven highly experienced musicians on stage: Andrea Cere (basso), Daniele “Hammond” De Rosa (organ and keyboards), Giorgio Nonnato (drums), Max Giovanardi (electric and acoustic guitars), Pietro Lermini (acoustic guitars, mandolin, keyboards and percussion), Sabba Gallotta (vocals and guitars) e Tania Righi (violin).
Born in 2018, the DAMADORE’ project is not a simple tribute band, but a real artistic tribute to De André’s historic 1978-79 tour with PFM. The band faithfully reproduces the setlist of the two live albums of the time, taking care of every detail in the arrangements and interpretations, thus offering a “strictly live” experience capable of recreating the magic of a unique union between songwriting and Italian progressive rock.
Sabba Gallotta, voice of the band, restores all the poetic strength of De André’s lyrics, while the harmony of the musicians emphasizes the musical richness of PFM. The result is a succession of ballads, solos, suites and rhythms, which excites and involves, celebrating the genius of De André and the compositional elegance of the progressive group.
The event is even more significant if we consider the context: on 11 January 1999 Fabrizio De André left us, before turning 59, leaving an extraordinary artistic legacy. The collaboration with PFM represents one of the most precious moments of his career, in which songwriting and rock met with success and innovation.
