IPD CEDE School: 2026 Admissions Open – Peruvian Sports Institute

The “Julia Sánchez Deza” Experimental Sports Educational Center (CEDE), the only sports school in the country, which operates in inter-institutional coordination between the Peruvian Institute of Sports (IPD) and the Ministry of Education (MINEDU), maintains its 2026 admission process ongoing, with the aim of identifying and training new talents with a projection for high performance.

The call is aimed at students from 4th grade of primary school to 2nd grade of secondary school, aged between 9 and 13 years, who demonstrate above-average physical and motor skills, as well as commitment to their academic training. The sports that will be part of the program are: athletics, badminton, boxing, soccer, judo, weightlifting, amateur wrestling and taekwondo.

In the year 2025, CEDE students obtained a total of 283 medals, including 15 at the international level, evidencing comprehensive work that combines quality academic training with high sports performance.

HOW TO APPLY?

The application is made in person, presenting the following requirements:
• Copy of the ID of the applicant and a representative
• Copy of the 2025 report card
• Not be a repeat student
• Accredit good conduct
• Have a valid medical certificate

The CEDE will receive the applicants’ documents until February 6 at the school headquarters, located at Av. 28 de Julio No. 1699 (in front of Radio Patrulla), La Victoria district, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

Below are the evaluation dates for applicants:

02/09/2026: Psychological evaluations at the CEDE.
02/10/2026: General sports evaluations at the National Stadium.
02/11/2026: Boxing, judo, wrestling and taekwondo evaluations at the CEDE.
02/12/2026: Athletics, badminton, football and weightlifting evaluations at the National Stadium.
02/17/2026: Knowledge evaluations at the CEDE.
02/20/2026: Publication of results.

The evaluation hours will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm

At CEDE, quality education is combined with specialized training in disciplines such as athletics, badminton, boxing, soccer, weightlifting, wrestling, judo and taekwondo. For this beginning of the academic year, it is projected to have more than 200 students.

Academic hours are from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday to Friday, while sports training takes place from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, promoting an appropriate balance between education and sports development.

In this way, the IPD maintains its commitment to encouraging sport from its bases, identifying and promoting new talents, with fundamental values ​​such as discipline and respect for diversity.
