Among the little-known sports, but with a naturalistic imprint, instinctive archery has also attracted more and more enthusiasts in recent years. Which, as the name of the discipline suggests, has its roots in the dawn of man’s time and takes place in a natural context, along paths in the woods located on hills or mountains, in harmony with the environment.
In Forlì, at the end of November 2021, the Frecce di Romagna Amateur Sports Association was founded to support the development of this discipline, which promotes country archery by organizing courses, competitions and promotional events. In recent years, with a view to making this sport known to the whole city, the ASD Fecce di Romagna has organized several open days in which many people eager to try instinctive archery participated. The association has thus decided to repeat on Saturday 10 January 2026, at the gym of the Liceo Artistico Canova in Forlì, where a new free open day will be held in which everyone can try shooting, in maximum safety and under the guidance of expert federal instructors. It will start at 4pm (entrance from the high school gate in Viale Salinatore) and end at 7pm.
From January 16th the new course will begin, the eleventh in four years of existence of the Frecce di Romagna during which more than seventy new archers were trained, which will take the students in eight lessons, half in the gym and half in the Association’s competition field inside the forest of the Agriturismo La Ramiera in Piavola on the Cesena hills, to learn the basics of instinctive archery.
