This morning it took place in the Plenary Hall of the Hon. Huelva City Council the presentation event that begins the countdown of the 2026 European Badminton Championships, which will be held from April 6 to 12 in Andalusia. For this event, which will bring together the best European players on the continent and which will serve as a tribute to our legend Carolina Marín, we already know the logo of the event and what will be the European mascot, Luz.
This mascot represents a Wolf, in homage to Carolina Marín, with the name being a nod to the city of Huelva, headquarters of this important event. Furthermore, the clothing with which we have been able to see the wolf Luz is the same one with which Marín achieved glory with the Rio 2016 Olympic gold. On the other hand, the logo of the 2026 European Championship also has a clear Andalusian reference as it is a fan – an Andalusian cultural symbol – made up of a total of eight ruffles – representing the eight Andalusian provinces -.
