Everything indicates that John Harbaugh will lead the New York Giants next season.
The former Baltimore Ravens driver would complete the final details of the contract with the New York organization according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. He emphasizes that unless there is a significant setback in the final points to be negotiated, we must expect an agreement between the two clans.
Schefter reported that amounts still remain to be established for Harbaugh. Even if the Giants appear to be the next destination for the coveted coach, “there is still a lot of work to be done,” says Schefter.
Harbaugh, 63, has spent the last 18 years at the helm of the Ravens. He completed his time in Baltimore with a Super Bowl title and a record of 180 wins against 113 losses. He was fired by the team that missed the playoffs following the loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the final game of the season.
If he were to officially land the job with the Giants, Harbaugh would succeed Brian Daboll who was fired in November. The New York squad could not do better than a combined record of 7-27 in the previous two seasons.
