The dinner at Queen Burger once again reflected the unity and great atmosphere of the two Spanish champion teams, male cadet and female junior teams. Perhaps one of the secrets of his success in Zaragoza, with full victories in both cases.

Having just renewed the agreement between the FBM and Ibercaja for two more years, the Queen Burger event further strengthened the relationship between the two entities. “We are delighted. We have been together for many years and we are proud to be able to contribute our bit so that these boys and girls can do what they like most, which is play basketball, and also do it with a healthy, sporting spirit, with that team spirit that today we have been able to see once again”stated José Vicente Marco. And the Madrid Basketball Federation and Ibercaja share “the values of grassroots sport, such as teamwork, the spirit of sacrifice, effort… values that will also be necessary for these boys and girls when they are older, in their professional lives.”

The head of Ibercaja highlighted the sporting success of the Madrid teams, because “Getting two golds is a luxury, it means taking 50 percent of what was at stake” and, above all, the union of all the teams: “It has been a joy to share this time with them. You can see that there is a lot of unity, a lot of complicity, how they applauded each other…”

The president of the FBM, Santos Moraga, also described the results of Zaragoza (to the two golds we must add the bronze of the men’s children’s team and the fifth place of the women’s cadet team) as “a success for Madrid basketball, especially due to the work of the clubs. I also congratulate the coaching staff, who have managed to make these twelve players into a team.”. Santos Moraga thanked Ibercaja for its support: “We have been working with them for more than 26 years and we are very happy. More than a sponsorship relationship, it is a friendship.”
