Ismaël Saibari intrigues PSG after a remarkable season at PSV and a convincing CAN with Morocco.
Midfielder PSV Eindhoven, Ismaël Saibari has established himself in the space of two seasons as one of the most influential players in the Eredivisie. At 24, he embodies a generation of hybrid profiles, capable of combining volume of play, offensive projection and statistical efficiency.
Constant progress in the Netherlands and with Morocco
Trained in Belgium before exploding in the Netherlands, Ismaël Saibari reached a significant milestone in the jersey of PSV Eindhoven. In a championship renowned for its ability to promote attacking midfielders, the Moroccan was able to take advantage of a favorable tactical framework.
Over the first half of the 2025-2026 season, before his departure for the African Cup of Nations, he was already compiling 11 goals and 4 assists in 23 matches in all competitions. Figures which place him among the most decisive midfielders in Europe.
Selected with Morocco for CAN 2025, Saibari confirmed on the continental scene what he shows at club. Starting in the victory against Zambia (3-0) on December 29, he displayed a maturity and technical mastery which reinforce his status as a potential executive of the Atlas Lions.
According to The Parisian, Ismaël Saibari would have been offered to Paris Saint-Germain during the month of December 2025. A proactive approach, revealing the ambition of the player, eager to reach a new sporting level after conquering the Netherlands.
However, the Parisian club did not follow up immediately. No in-depth discussions were initiated and the file was not activated during the winter transfer window. A lack of reaction which is explained more by the calendar and internal priorities of PSG than by a rejection of the profile.
A file to watch for the summer
Under contract with PSV Eindhoven until 2029, Ismaël Saibari is not in a contractual situation favorable to an immediate departure at a lower cost. The Dutch club is not willing to sell off one of its major assets.
However, next summer could reshuffle the cards. If PSG were to adjust their midfield recruitment strategy, Saibari’s name could naturally resurface in discussions.
