Broni (Pavia), 12 January 2026 – Double complaintboth for “driving under the influence of alcohol“that for”carrying weapons and objects capable of offending“.
GB, a 54-year-old already convicted, on the night of Sunday 11 January in Broni, he ran into an inspection to road traffic carried out by the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile of the Stradella Company. He was at the wheel of his Audi A4 and at the time of the check the military assessed one of his alleged state of alcoholic intoxication. The motorist is however refused to submit to a blood alcohol test, but the circumstance is by law equated to a positive result of the breathalyzer and sanctioned by also triggering, in addition to the suspension of the license, also the criminal complaint and, if the vehicle is registered to the same offender, as in this case, also the seizure for the purpose of confiscation.
In fact, at the end of the check, the Audi A4 was seized and taken away with the tow truck. But not only that. During the search of the vehicle, the police also found a baseball bat on board in aluminium, “held without justifiable reason” by the man who is already a convicted criminal.
At the end of the investigation activity, the Stradella Company took actionto the double complaint, in a state of freedom, to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Pavia, with charges not only of driving while intoxicated but also of illegal carrying of weapons, which in fact is considered a baseball bat if not attributable to sporting activity.
The outcome of the activity was communicated today, Monday 12 January, with a press note issued by the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Pavia, after the necessary authorization from the Prosecutor’s Office. A normal road check which led to the double complaint against the motorist stopped in Broni, demonstrating the importance of the preventive services carried out by the police for the control of the territory, not surprisingly decided and planned on a weekly basis within the Provincial Committee for public order and safety in the Prefecture.
