Fabregas to Chelsea? MU Legend Backs Former Gunner

KOMPAS.com – Manchester United (MU) legend, Paul Scholes, expressed his views regarding the figure of the Como 1907 coach, Cesc Fabregas.

Paul Scholes considers Cesc Fabregas more suitable to handle Chelsea than Liam Rosenior, the current new coach of the Blues.

Scholes conveyed this opinion when speaking on the podcast The Good, The Bad, & The Football.

On that occasion, he explained that Fabregas was compatible with Chelsea, especially because of his background as a former player for the London club.

“Not for Man United,” said Scholes.

“But you know what? I actually like what he (Fabregas) has done and think he might be a better choice for Chelsea than Liam Rosenior.”

“But what is clear is that he is not right for Man United,” added the MU legend.

According to Scholes, Fabregas’ experience with Como was a supporting factor in his assessment.

He saw Fabregas’ coaching approach at the Indonesian-owned club developing gradually and consistently.

Chelsea Appoints Liam Rosenior

Chelsea itself has appointed Liam Rosenior as the new coach. Rosenior signed a long-term contract until 2032 with the club.

The 41 year old coach came to Stamford Bridge after spending 18 months managing RC Strasbourg.

The French club is under the ownership of BlueCo, the group that also oversees Chelsea.

However, Fabregas’ name is still in the discussion because of his track record as a former Chelsea player and his ability to build a team at a competitive level.

This makes Scholes consider Fabregas worthy of consideration by a club like a Premier League giant like Chelsea.
