The future of Fabian Ruiz (29) at Paris Saint-Germain is unclear. Despite an extension proposal sent by the Parisian leaders, the Spanish midfielder has still not followed through. Arriving in the capital with a discreet status, the Spanish international nevertheless established himself as a key element of Luis Enrique’s system, to the point of playing a major role in PSG’s coronation in the Champions League. Under contract until June 2027, Ruiz is now the subject of strategic consideration, while the club wishes to secure one of its executives.
According to Sports Stadiumthe player’s hesitation could be explained by the pronounced interest of Spanish clubs, starting with Betis Sevilla, his training club. A return to Andalusia would not be ruled out for Fabian Ruiz, who would like to take the time to evaluate his options before committing to the long term with Paris. A situation which could worry PSG, faced with the prospect of seeing one of its pillars in the middle considering leaving in the coming months.
