Olympique Lyon football players won a direct promotion to the round of 16 of the Europa League. It was decided by their victory in the 7th round of the league phase at Young Boys Bern 1:0. Slovak goalkeeper Dominik Greif did not catch this time for the French club, Remy Descamps was given priority.
The best eight teams advance directly to the round of 16 of the Europa League. Another sixteen in 9th – 24th place are fighting for the elimination part in the play off. Participation in the competition ends for the last twelve teams.
