Duong Noi Badminton Tournament: Lunar New Year Celebration

This is a concrete activity aimed at celebrating the success of the 14th National Party Congress; to commemorate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnamese Communist Party (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026); and to welcome the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The tournament attracted 140 athletes from 16 badminton clubs, schools, agencies, units and companies from Duong Noi district and Phu Luong, Kien Hung, Ha Dong and Yen Nghia districts.

The qualifying matches took place simultaneously on four courts, with men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles events, divided into four age groups: 35 and under; 36-45 years old; 46-55 years old; and 56 years and over.

After an exciting day of competition, the athletes treated the public to numerous captivating and dramatic matches, punctuated by spectacular gestures. At the end of the tournament, the organizing committee awarded 9 first prizes, 9 second prizes and 17 third prizes to the most deserving athletes.
