Dubai 24 Hours: F1 Stars & Scuderia Prague Launch – F1sport.cz

The second race of the 24H Series in 2026 and at the same time the final event of the winter 24H Series Middle East is the 21st edition of the Dubai 24 Hours this weekend. The Czech team Scuderia Praha is taking part in this increasingly prestigious race again this year. Former GP2 pilot and popular TV expert Josef Král will also take turns in the cockpit of his Ferrari.

WE UPDATE:

The Scuderia Prague team can’t participate in the 24 hours race in Dubai after all! The Ferrari 296 GT3 of the Prague stables has a cracked chassis after an innocent collision in night practice and thus cannot start the race.

In Dubai, the Prague team mainly wants to make up for the unfortunate six-hour race in Abu Dhabi, which, from the point of view of the Scuderia Prague team, started the 2026 racing season. The Czech team tried for a very good result on the Yas Marina track, but the race for the Czech Ferrari ended after a collision with the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 of the Slovak team ARC Bratislava.

While in Abu Dhabi a week ago the Ferrari 296 GT3 #56 was replaced by a three-man crew, for the four times longer race in Dubai, the car of the Czech team will be shared by five pilots. The permanent trio of Josef Král, Miroslav Výboh, and Matúš Výboh will be joined again this time by the second Czech pilot Dennis Waszek. The fifth member of the Scuderia Praha crew this weekend is Matteo Malucelli. The Italian pilot is no newcomer to the Prague team. In the 2019 season, Malucelli regularly alternated in races with Josef Král and Jiří Písařík, and this trio together won the championship title in the 24H Series.

In any case, nothing easy awaits the Scuderia Praha team in Dubai. In the last version of the starting list, there were a total of 68 cars, half of which were GT3 specials. With a crew consisting of professionals and amateurs, the Ferrari of the Prague stable falls into the GT3-Pro/Am subcategory. Saturday’s start of the race will not be easy for Prague’s Ferrari, as a technical problem eliminated the Czech team’s car from qualifying.

In the rich starting field of this year’s twenty-four hours race in Dubai, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO #31 of the British stable Team Parker Racing is definitely worthy of attention. The legendary Dario Franchitti is also part of his crew this weekend. The four-time British IndyCar champion and three-time Indy 500 winner will alternate behind the wheel with touring car star Robert Huff, as well as Shaun and Max Lynn, the father and brother of WEC Cadillac factory driver Alex Lynn. In addition, the car’s special color design was designed by former Formula 1 driver and 1997 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Stefan Johansson.

The 24-hour race in Dubai starts on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Czech time. You will be able to watch it live and non-stop on the official YouTube channel below.
