Dordogne UNSS Championships: Student Athletes Compete

For high schools, Jay-de-Beaufort (Périgueux) and the Chardeuil professional high school (Coulaures), also the 2025 French sports shooting champion in Châteauroux, remained untouchable, like last year. Four colleges, Arthur-Rimbaud (Saint-Astier), Henri-Bretin (Neuvic), Plaisance (Lanouaille) and Michel-Debet (Tocane) each qualified one or two teams for the academic finals.

Indoor sports in Périgueux

At the same time, in the gymnasiums of Périgueux, the departmental high school finals of three other sports were being contested. In volleyball, it was the Alcide-Dusolier comprehensive high school which once again brought the title to Nontron. In futsal, Bertran-de-Born (Périgueux) and Sainte-Marthe – Saint-Front (Bergera), will go to Biarritz on January 21, to compete against the finalists from the other departments.

In badminton, Jay-de-Beaufort (Périgueux), the Sud-Périgord Hélène-Duc professional high school (Bergerac) and the Elisée-Reclus high school (Sainte-Foy-la-Grande) will compete in their academic championship on January 28 in Villeneuve-sur-Lot. The protocol, orchestrated by Guillaume Avrillas, the UNSS Dordogne departmental director, also saw the presentation of official diplomas to 31 young UNSS judges from ten establishments in Dordogne.
