Hecklers can no longer upset Novak Djokovic.

As Djokovic served in his practice match against Frances Tiafoe, a spectator in the Rod Laver Arena shouted a loud, unoriginal “Go Roger!” into the oval.

Instead of reacting to this familiar provocation with uncertainty or anger, Djokovic responded with a humorous retaliation. The 38-year-old Serb remained friendly, but demonstratively pretended to laugh out loud and with this ironic action showed that the heckling was actually more embarrassing than funny.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion has proven again and again in the past that he has a good sense of humor. The Serb always had a laugh, especially with his imitations of other tennis stars.

Djokovic is taking part in the Australian Open, which he has already won ten times, after a two-month break from tournaments. He was originally scheduled to compete in Adelaide last week, but canceled his participation in the 250cc tournament.

In Melbourne, the 38-year-old will face Spaniard Pedro Martinez in the first round.
