Czech Football: Increased Capacity for Sparta, Pilsen & Olomouc

Perhaps every fan knows the situation when he searches in vain for the television broadcast of his favorite team. In the spring phase of European competitions, however, subscribers to the largest television service in the Czech Republic will not have to deal with similar concerns.

“By including Sport 1 and Sport 2 channels, we are significantly strengthening Oneplay’s offer. Thanks to this, fans get additional attractive sports content, in total there are hundreds of broadcasts during each season. This way, viewers have everything important clearly in one place,” said Anna Lenerová, director of acquisition of sports and paid channels at TV Nova.

It is through Sport 1 and Sport 2 stations that football fans can watch more live broadcasts from the Europa League and the Conference League. There will also be matches of the Italian Serie A and Serie B, where, for example, the Czech striker Daniel Fila is active.

So what matches can fans look forward to in the European Cups?

Sigma Olomouc already knows its opponent for the Conference League playoffs. On February 19th and 26th, the Hanács will face the Swiss Lausanne. Thanks to their placement in the first eight of the regular season, Sparta Prague will play as far as the round of 16 of the Conference League, where they will face the winner of one of the double-headers Noah – Alkmaar or Celje – Drita.

After Friday’s draw, Viktoria Plzeň’s footballers will face Panathinaikos Athens in the play-off for advancement to the round of 16 of the Europa League.
