Cycling Team’s Kind Act: Paul Magnier & Motorist Aid

A real boost. During a training outing organized in Calpe (Spain) this Friday, several Soudal Quick-Step runners, including Frenchman Paul Magnier, dismounted to come to the aid of a motorist stranded on the side of the road.

All together, Jasper Stuyven, Alberto Daino and the other members of the “Wolfpack” helped the man to dislodge his vehicle, stuck in a stone wall, by pushing collectively. Mission accomplished thanks to this great teamwork, which will perhaps help to unite the riders of the Belgian team in view of the upcoming deadlines in 2026.

Magnier has just extended his contract

Paul Magnier will be particularly scrutinized this year, at the end of an exceptional end to the 2025 season, marked by 19 victories, only one less than the ogre of the peloton Tadej Pogacar. This week, the 21-year-old Frenchman, at the end of his contract in 2027, extended his lease for two additional years with Soudal Quick-Step, the latter now extending until 2029.

This start of the season will take him notably on the roads of Tirreno-Adriatico, Milan-San Remo, Ghent-Wevelgem, Across Flanders but also on the Giro in May.
