CONADE 2026: Cycling, Judo & More – State Stage Begins

The state stage of the CONADE 2026 National Olympiad in Veracruz will take place from January 22 to February 1, with the participation of athletes in the disciplines of cycling, badminton, judo and chess, reported the Veracruzano Sports Institute.

The activities will start with cycling, which returns to Xalapa as its headquarters, after being held in Tuxpan during the 2025 edition; The competitors will begin with the time trial modality on January 22 and 23, on the Coatepec Bypass, the same setting where the road test will take place on the 25th.

The mountain modality will take place on the 24th on the La Calera track, located in the Banderilla area. Meanwhile, the track competition will be held from January 22 to February 1 at the Xalapa International Velodrome, where in addition to the State Selective, the 2026 National Track Championship will be held.

For its part, badminton will complete its eliminatory from January 23 to 25 at the Racquet Center of the Ciudad Deportiva Leyes de Reforma, with the participation of athletes who will seek to advance to the next phase.

On January 30 and 31 and February 1, judo and chess athletes will compete in Xalapa for a place in the regional stage, prior to the National Final of the CONADE 2026 National Olympiad. Judo will be played in the Gymnasium of the Universidad Veracruzana, while chess will be held at the official hotel.

The early holding of the multi-sports event is due to the adjustment of the national calendar derived from the Soccer World Cup, which led to advancing the selection processes in the different entities of the country.
