Coahuila Archery: 10 Finals & Championship Win

The Coahuila Archery Team has demonstrated its local power by qualifying to star in 10 of the 16 finals of the Archery Open “Dafne Quintero”. The sporting event takes place in the new “Sebastián García Flores” field, a setting that will witness the search for gold by state athletes.

This dominance on the shooting line confirms the high competitive level of the Coahuila delegation, which ranges from youth categories to the senior branch, facing rivals from Nuevo León, Quintana Roo, Mexico City and Tamaulipas.

Finals in the Recurve modality

The day at the end of Archery Open promises intense emotions in the recurve bow specialty. In the senior men’s branch, Raúl Tadeo Rodríguez from Coahuila will face Miguel Celaya, representative of Nuevo León, in a duel for the top of the podium.

For his part, in the Under 21 Recurve category, Juan Pablo Téllez will seek victory against Fernando Elizondo from Quintana Roo. In this same category, but in the women’s branch, Natalia Garibay will fight for the gold medal against Isis Gutiérrez, from Mexico City.

Young talent on the rise

The minor categories also shine for the host state. Abril Espinosa will compete for the Recurvo Sub 18 title against Larissa Muñoz from Nuevo León. Likewise, Mariana Ramos will face Jesús Ramos from New Leon to define the winner of first place in Recurve Sub 16 Mixed.

Clash of the Titans in Composite

One of the most anticipated moments of the tournament will be the Women’s Composite final, where the home talent will be divided. The Coahuila people Dafne Quintero and Selene Rodríguez will face each other in a direct duel for the gold, guaranteeing 1-2 for the state in this modality.

Likewise, the men’s Under 21 Composite category will see a completely Coahuila final between Victor Betrado and Rafael Muñoz. In the women’s branch of this same division, Miranda Ávila will have Karla Estrada, from Nuevo León, as a rival.

The activity of Archery Open will close with a flourish in the youth compound categories. Antonio Epifanía will play the Under 18 final against Luis Ledesma from Tamaulipas. In addition, the Mixed Under-16 Composite title will stay at home, since Susana García and María Reyes will face each other for the championship.

Finally, it was reported that in the Mixed Under 14 Composite category, Mateo Villarreal from Coahuila fell in the final against Natalia Cruz, from Tamaulipas, concluding an outstanding participation in the tournament.
