We look at four potential captains as the coaches prepare for matchday 7 of #UCLfantasy, presented by PlayStation.
TUESDAY, JANUARY 20
Kylian Mbappé (10.9m€) are Monaco (LOCL)
With the aim of consolidating its position among the top eight of the league phase, on matchday 7 Real Madrid hosts Monaco, the club where Mbappé began his professional career. Top scorer in the Champions League this season with nine goals in five games – four of them in their last European match against Olympiacos – Mbappé scored 11 goals against Monaco in 14 games as a Paris Saint-Germain player. After recovering from an injury, the Frenchman will once again be a very popular option to captain the team on matchday 7.
Erling Haaland (€10.7m) ante el Bodø/Glimt (VISITANTE)
Second behind Mbappé in goals in the Champions League this season, Haaland is, not surprisingly, one of the most in-demand strikers among Fantasy players and has an incredible record of 55 goals in 54 games in the competition. Manchester City’s next fixture is a trip to Haaland’s native Norway, where Bodø/Glimt will host Pep Guardiola’s men with Haaland, who scored against Bodø/Glimt for Molde in 2018, set to add to his 39 goals for club and country in 2025/26.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 21
Michael Olise (€8.2m) before Union Saint-Gilloise (LOCAL)
Although many Fantasy players will lean towards Harry Kane when it comes to choosing captain on Wednesday, his Bayern München team-mate Olise is also a viable candidate. The Frenchman has consistently been involved in goals in the league phase, registering at least one offensive involvement in four of Bayern’s six games, and scored twice for the German champions in their 8-1 home win over Wolfsburg on January 11, giving him five goals and six assists in his last five Bundesliga starts.
Raphinha (€9.3m) against Slavia Praha (VISITOR)
Raphinha, the player with the most fantasy points last season, has yet to score a goal in the league phase this season due to an injury that has limited him to just two starts. However, the Barcelona midfielder has already regained his physical fitness and the goals and assists have not been long in coming. The Brazilian played a key role in Barcelona’s recent success in the Spanish Super Cup, scoring twice against Athletic Club and Real Madrid, and it seems only a matter of time before those performances translate into the Champions League.
