Today is a Walloon shock day. However, the weekend has already been tarnished by the fire in a supporters’ premises right next to Mambourg.
Each match between Charleroi and Standard has its share of explosive moments. Without the link being formally established between this evening’s meeting and the disaster that concerns us, there has already been damage.
A supporters’ room located a few meters from stand 4 of the Pays de Charleroi stadium was indeed affected by a fire during the night from Friday to Saturday.
A place usually quite busy before a meeting
As reported The Last Hourit was a burning vehicle, without a license plate, suspected of having been stolen and intentionally parked against the facade of the building, which would have been the origin of this fire.
“The front of the premises was made up of a wooden frame. A reconnaissance of the building, comprising four apartments on the first floor, took place. Fortunately, no one was inside”, explain the Carolos firefighters joined by our colleagues.

The criminal trail is mentioned, whether or not it is linked to the Walloon shock. The proximity of the encounter is too obvious not to be mentioned, but fires caused by vehicles are unfortunately not uncommon phenomena in the area.
