After parting ways with Sean McDermott, the Buffalo Bills from the National Football League (NFL) decided on an internal solution and hired Joe Brady as their new head coach. The club’s current offensive coordinator will receive a five-year contract.
McDermott, who had led the Bills to the play-offs eight times in nine years, was released after they were eliminated in the divisional round by the Denver Broncos (30:33 nV). Under the direction of the 51-year-old, the team around star quarterback Josh Allen never made it to the Super Bowl. For the fourth time in the past five years, the Bills ended in the quarterfinals.
Brady (36) was initially responsible for the quarterbacks at the Bills, and from the middle of the 2023/24 season he worked as offensive coordinator. Now he was promoted to head coach.
