Benzema Backs Aulas: Lyon Mayoral Bid

This Tuesday, Karim Benzema spoke about the candidacy of his former president at Olympique Lyonnais for Lyon town hall.

A significant support. Invited to speak by videoconference this Tuesday on LCI for a program dedicated to Jean-Michel Aulas, who is running for mayor of Lyon, Karim Benzema gave his full support to the former president of Olympique Lyonnais, whom he worked alongside from his entry into the training center in 1997 to 2009.

“I think Jean-Michel Aulas has everything to succeed. Because he’s someone we listen to, he’s someone who knows where he’s going and has a lot of experience. He showed it in football where Lyon was at the bottom and he took it to the top.said the current Al Ittihad player in Saudi Arabia.

Before adding: “I think, in any case my heart goes out to him, I think he has the capacity and the ambition to move the city. And make Lyon become what it was before.”

While he formalized his candidacy for mayor of Lyon on September 25, the former president of OL is leading the polls and could well be the successor to Grégory Doucet, the outgoing environmentalist mayor.
