BAARN The badminton players of BC Inside ’82 have made themselves heard again in the fifth division. In round eleven, the Baarnaars won 7-1 against Helios SB2. With Friday’s victory, Inside regains first place for the time being.
Last week there was a blow for Inside, which lost for the first time this season (6-2). In the crucial phase of the season, in which the top three were within two points of each other with four games to go, the final sprint is now extremely important.
In any case, Inside, in which Toon van den Tweel participated again, started the final phase excellently. Only Manar Ibrahim’s singles match was lost. Five games were won in two sets.
Anna van der Laan, who won all three of her games in straight sets, was very happy with the revenge that Inside took. “It went a lot better after last week. When we played against them away in November the score was 4-4, so this result shows very nice progress. Fabian Meijneken played very well.”
