Leipzig jewel Yan Diomande is in the focus of Europe’s top clubs. But Liverpool could overtake Bayern.
Munich – Yan Diomande is considered one of the most promising talents in European football. The 19-year-old Frenchman has aroused the desires of numerous top clubs with his performances at RB Leipzig. FC Bayern Munich and Liverpool FC in particular are keeping an eye on the young offensive player. But it seems as if the German record champions could be left behind in the transfer poker around Diomande.
Like the portal CaughtOffside Reportedly, Liverpool FC is the first club to come out of cover and prepare a concrete offer for Diomande. The Premier League club is currently the hottest contender for signing the Leipzig player. RB Leipzig has made it clear that a transfer fee of at least 100 million euros is required to even enter into negotiations. Liverpool appear willing to pay that sum to secure the services of the promising talent.
Will FC Bayern get a basket?
Diomande himself recently said that Liverpool was his dream club. “I want to play at Liverpool,” the youngster said in a recent Tiktok livestream. “I’m a big Liverpool fan. My father dreams of seeing me play at Anfield one day. That’s my dream too and I want to make it come true.” These statements underline the attractiveness of a move to the Reds for the young Ivorian.

FC Bayern Munich sees Diomande as a potential amplifier for the offensive. But RB Leipzig’s high transfer fee demands and Liverpool’s decisive approach could thwart the Munich team’s plans. In addition to Bayern, other top European clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have also expressed interest in Diomande. However, these clubs are currently acting hesitantly, which could give Liverpool a lead.
For FC Bayern, a missed signing of Diomandes would be another transfer defeat. The German record champions had already suffered a defeat with defender Marc Guehi when Manchester City were awarded the contract. It remains to be seen whether Bayern can hold its own in the race for Diomande. In any case, the transfer market promises to remain exciting. (smr)
