Bayern Munich recorded its first defeat of the season in the Bundesliga, beaten 2-1 by Augsburg on Saturday January 24 on its Allianz Arena pitch, on the 19th day. The Munich players opened the scoring through Japanese defender Hiroki Ito (23rd), but then lost the flow of the match and conceded two goals in the last quarter of an hour of play by Arthur Chaves (75th) and Han-Noah Massengo (81st). This first setback for Bayern is a signal before traveling to Eindhoven on Wednesday, where a draw will be enough for them to maintain their 2nd place at the end of the group stage of the Champions League behind Arsenal.
