The upper floor of the Foundation, as explained in a note, will host memorabilia from the world of basketball, displaying part of a private collection belonging to Giacomo Tozzini, chef and teacher at the Ferdinando Martini Hotel Institute in Montecatini Terme (Pistoia), but above all a great enthusiast and coach of youth basketball teams, who since 2010 began collecting jerseys worn on the parquets of Italian basketball on the shoulders of great players.
The collection consists of over 400 game shirts worn over the last few decades; 1500 photographs and thousands of videos; 150 pennants; over 100 books; 20 balls and some medals from the European Championships. Of this heritage, the Poma Foundation will exhibit 30 shirts and other memorabilia. The large entrance wall of the Foundation will also be reserved for the Bryant family. The exhibition itinerary will include objects linked to Kobe Bryant and his father Joe ‘Jellybean’ Bryant, of which the vest worn during the 1988 Basketball League All Star Game will be exhibited, a much loved figure for the seasons he played in our championship and for his influence on his son’s basketball growth.
