World Baseball.- This week in World Baseball we start with history…
The Hall of Fame has two new immortals.
Puerto Rican Carlos Beltrán, the sixth Puerto Rican to reach Cooperstown, saw a brilliant career marked by power, speed and great postseason moments crowned.
At his side, Curacao-born Andruw Jones, one of the best defensive outfielders of all time, was also chosen, consolidating his legacy in the Major Leagues.
In addition, Jeff Kent entered the Immortal Hall through the contemporary era committee.
In the Major League market, the New York Mets shook the board again.
After signing Bo Bichette, the New York No. 9 strengthened its rotation by acquiring pitching ace Freddy Peralta, sending a clear message that they are going all-in for next season.
We move now to winter ball.

In Venezuela, Caribes de Anzoátegui became the first finalist of the LVBP, after winning with authority 9-3 over Bravos de Margarita at the Alfonso “Chico” Carrasquel Stadium in Puerto La Cruz.
A victory that confirmed their dominance and places them one step away from the title.
For its part, Cardenales de Lara gave a coup of authority by beating Águilas del Zulia 8-1 in Barquisimeto.
With this victory, the Larense team left behind some Águilas depleted by injuries and with pitching problems, in a duel that was life or death, sealing their return to the grand final.
In the Dominican Baseball League, Yamaico Navarro drove in three runs and Junior Lake another two with a home run so that the Leones del Esgido placed the Final Series 2-0 on Thursday after beating the Toros del Este 7-4.

In Mexico, the Charros de Jalisco remain firmly on their way to the two-time championship.
They defeated the Tomateros de Culiacán again, now by a score of 10-6, to take a 2-0 lead in the Final Series of the Mexican Pacific League.

And we close in Puerto Rico, where the Santurce Cangrejeros were proclaimed champions of the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League.

Santurce defeated the Leones de Ponce 5-1, finishing the final series in five games and securing its ticket to represent Puerto Rico in the Caribbean Series.
This is how the week was lived on the diamond…
