Baggott Loan: Ipswich Coach’s Stance

When asked if Baggott might follow in the footsteps of Cameron Humphreys who was loaned out again during the January transfer window, McKenna said Ipswich Star replied: “It’s not impossible. We are discussing with him.”

“It’s a tricky balance, because he’s one of four senior centre-backs this year. I don’t think there’s a club in the Championship that has less than four senior centre-backs.”

“The three players ahead of him have hardly missed any games at all, so he hasn’t had any minutes on the pitch, but I still think he has improved. His dedication in training has been extraordinary.”

“He has worked very hard with the coaches individually. I think he is a better player now than he was on July 1.”

“I think he will see the results of his hard work when he starts getting playing time again, whenever and wherever that may be.”
