The Amsterdammers are not planning to make major investments this winter as long as new technical director Jordi Cruijff has not yet started. Nevertheless, Ajax still hopes for the signature of FC Groningen captain Stije Resink. It reports that Algemeen Dagblad.
It AD knows that the Ajax management led by Marijn Beuker and Alex Kroes will not make any major investments for the time being. “The current management is still not planning to make major investments as long as the new technical boss is in the waiting room,” the newspaper refers to the appointed Jordi Cruijff. ‘That partly explains why we are still waiting for the top priority, signing a controlling midfielder.’
Earlier this winter, the names of Daley Blind, Manuel Ugarte and Stije Resink were mentioned. ‘Beuker mainly looks at good (rental) options. But you never do it for sure at Ajax.’
